Who We Are

jelli.world (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an online retailer selling jelly bags. We are the data controller for the personal data described below, and we are committed to protecting your personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What Data We Collect

We collect different personal data depending on how you interact with us:

  • When you place an order: name, email address, delivery address, phone number (if provided), and payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details).
  • When you subscribe to our mailing list: email address.
  • When you join a product waitlist: email address, the product you are waitlisted for, and the date you opted in.
  • When you allow analytics: IP address, browser/device information, traffic source, page and product interactions, cart events, and purchase value through Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. We do not intentionally send your name, email, delivery address, or payment details to Google or Meta.
  • When you complete an order: the order confirmation page loads Google’s Customer Reviews module, which receives your order number, email address, delivery country, and estimated delivery date. This is the one place we do pass your email address to Google. Google uses it only to email you a review survey, and only if you tick the opt-in box on that page.

How We Use Your Data and Our Legal Basis

We use your data for the purposes below, under the following lawful bases:

  • Fulfilling your order — to process payments, ship your bag, and handle returns (contract).
  • Order updates and customer service — to send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and reply to questions (contract).
  • Marketing emails — if you have subscribed via our mailing list (popup, footer, or any inline newsletter signup on the site), or if you have joined a product waitlist, we will send you marketing emails (consent). These cover new releases and restocks, sales, discount codes and other offers, and occasional news about the other brands operated by the same company. Your email address is not sold, rented, or passed to any unrelated third party for their own marketing. The disclosure shown next to each signup states this before you submit your email; if you subscribed before this wording was introduced, we only email you about jelli.world.
  • Waitlist notifications — if you have joined a product waitlist, we will additionally email you when that specific item is back in stock (consent).
  • Legal obligations — to keep tax and transaction records as required by UK law (legal obligation).
  • Optional advertising analytics — to understand product engagement and advertising performance after you give consent. You can withdraw this consent through the site’s privacy choices control.

You can withdraw consent for marketing or waitlist emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us. Unsubscribing removes you from both marketing and waitlist communications.

Who We Share Data With

We only share your data with third-party processors where necessary, under contractual data-processing agreements:

  • Stripe — for secure payment processing.
  • Resend — to send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates) and marketing emails to subscribers. Resend stores subscriber email addresses on our behalf.
  • Royal Mail and other couriers — for delivery.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider.
  • Google — for the Google Analytics tag with analytics storage denied by default, and for website and ecommerce measurement only after analytics consent.
  • Google Customer Reviews — a separate Google service from the analytics tag above. After you complete an order we pass your order number, email address, delivery country, and estimated delivery date to Google so it can invite you to review your purchase. Google emails you a survey only if you opt in on the confirmation page, and any rating you give may be shown publicly as an aggregate seller rating. This is not covered by the analytics consent control, because it is part of fulfilling your order rather than advertising measurement; you can decline simply by not opting in, and you can ask us to stop sending your order to the service at any time using the contact details below.
  • Meta — only after analytics consent, for advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel.

We do not sell your data to third parties. Some of these processors may transfer data outside the UK; where this happens we rely on the UK’s adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain order and invoice data for up to 6 years for tax and legal purposes. Mailing list and waitlist email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing or withdraw consent
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
