Matthieu Blazy’s autumn/winter 2026 Chanel show at the Grand Palais included, in SACLÀB’s description, “an oversized flap bag rendered in plush faux fur”, which it called “a tactile, winter-ready dimension to the classic Chanel silhouette.” It sat next to suede shoulder bags and croc-embossed leather, so texture was the theme of the whole bag line, not a one-off.

At Milan in February, Maria Grazia Chiuri’s first Fendi collection leaned on texture. PurseBop reported that she “reintroduced the Fendi Mamma Baguette in black fur, carried clutch-style on the runway”, and showed a classic tote in several fabrics including “a black shearling iteration.”
