Bags That Swing: Movement and Texture for AW26
The coat stays still. The details swing.

Watch a coat walk down the street. The coat doesn't move much. The things on it do.
That is the mood of the season. Vogue described accessories that let outfits "move, shine, inspire", from "swaying trims to plush bags". The clothes stay still. The details swing.
You don't need a new wardrobe for it. You need one thing that moves.
The Animal Bag Charm is 40 centimetres of soft polyester plush. There are five of them: Cocoa Cub, Marmalade Mew, Pippin Chick, Noodle Pup and Pickle Duck. There is no clip. Each one wraps its long neck around a handle and hangs there, swaying a little as you walk.
On a glossy bag, it's a contrast: hard and soft, shine and nap. On a jelly tote it reads as a joke you're in on. On a Fluff bag, it's texture on texture, and it disappears until somebody looks twice.
Keep it to one. A single charm looks chosen. Three look like a keyring.
Colour can be quiet or not. Cocoa Cub on a brown bag is almost tonal. Pickle Duck on black is the opposite. Pick the one that makes you smile, then leave it alone.
Size matters here. At 40 centimetres, the charm is long enough to be seen from across a room and soft enough not to clatter. It doesn't scratch the bag it hangs on. There's no metal to catch on a coat sleeve.
In winter it does one more job. Coats are dark and heavy, and outfits get covered up. A small bright thing near the hand is often the only colour anyone sees.
It also travels. Unwrap it in the evening and wind it around a different handle. The bag changes; the charm stays.
The trend will move on. The charm will still be hanging there.
