Beach bags for an Australian summer

Australian prices in A$, free delivery from Sydney. Part of jelli.world in Australia.

Jelly beach bags from A$75: the roomy 35cm tote and the slimmer East West, in firm TPU or glossy PVC. They ship free from our Sydney stock by Australia Post and take 1–3 business days door to door, with nothing to pay on delivery. A jelly bag suits the beach and the pool because nothing soaks in: sand brushes off, sunscreen wipes away, and wet togs can go straight back in.

TPU or PVC for the beach

TPU is firmer and holds its colour and clarity better in strong sun; PVC is softer, glossier and cheaper. Store either out of direct sun between beach days. The full comparison is in TPU vs PVC, and what a jelly bag can take near water is in are jelly bags waterproof.

Questions

Is a jelly bag a good beach bag?

Yes. The body doesn't soak up water, sand brushes off the smooth surface, and sunscreen wipes away with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, so the bag goes from the beach to lunch. It is water-resistant rather than waterproof, so keep your phone in a zip pouch inside.

Are these beach bags waterproof?

Water-resistant, not waterproof. The material doesn't absorb water, so splashes, spray and wet togs inside are fine. The seams and hardware aren't sealed, so don't submerge the bag, and after a salty day rinse-wipe it with fresh water and dry it to keep the hardware bright.

Can I use one as a swim bag?

Yes. Wet togs and goggles can go straight in: the material doesn't absorb water, so the bag wipes dry afterwards.

How big are they?

The 35cm tote is 35 × 25 × 14 cm, the roomiest shape: it takes a water bottle, sunscreen, a phone and wet togs. The East West is 35 × 19 × 15 cm, a slimmer shoulder bag for a swim and lunch after.

When should I order for summer?

Summer runs December to February. With delivery in 1–3 business days, an order in October or November arrives well before the beach season; for Christmas, order by early December.

How much is delivery, and how long does it take?

Delivery in Australia is free on every order. Orders ship from our stock in Sydney by Australia Post, dispatched the next business day, and take 1–3 business days door to door. In Sydney, you can choose free pickup at checkout instead, and we email you within a business day to arrange it.

Will I pay customs or GST on delivery?

No. Australian orders ship from Sydney, so the parcel never goes through customs and there is nothing to pay on delivery.

What currency are the prices in?

In Australian dollars once Australia is set as your country. Until then the tiles and the cart show pounds, and an order placed in pounds is charged in pounds. Once it is set, the tiles, the cart and checkout show and charge the Australian prices on this page, unless the cart holds something without an Australian price. Delivery in Australia is free either way. Payments are processed by our UK company, so some cards add an international transaction fee.

Can I return something?

Yes, within 14 days of delivery, unused and in its original condition. Email hello@jelli.world and we send the return address; return postage is at your cost unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong one.
